College Fashion 101: UCLA takes a study break with its 11th Annual Fashion Show
Thanks to our friend Matt, a model for the show, we scored VIP seats to UCLA’s 11th Annual Spring Fashion Show and a front seat peek at fresh designs from the university’s most talented designers. The show was sponsored by premier campus fashion organization FAST (Fashion and Student Trends) and international sport-chic line Superdry.
One of our favorites was Anna Reutinger’s endearingly quirky ensembles that “allow the wearer to alter the look of the garment to their liking and are designed to be worn by individuals en route between different countries.”
We are continually blown away by the amount of talent that can be dished out by a dose of driven and creative undergrads. Now that it’s time to hit the books, these students will know how to look good while doing it. Lovely work Bruins!
Special thanks to FAST and their sponsors: 1928 Jewelry. Dormstormer. Food Should Taste Good. Glendon Bar & Kitchen. Nvidia. Smartwater. Superdry. Pretzel Crisps. Victoria’s Secret Pink. Vince Camuto.
My model friend, Matt, is awesome. I got to live it up as VIP. :)

I went to the UCLA FAST fashion show to support my bro, Matt, who was one of the models walking down the runway. He invited me out so I jumped at the chance to support him and what he’s doing. Matt modeled for 4 different lines, although I really liked his first look—the one with the white suit and blue shirt. It’d be cool if Matt made it in the business one day because I’d get to say I knew him when he was big.
Why look it there, Ms. Jenna Geers attended an actual fashion show with me. We sat at the VIP section.
I’m glad Jenna got to bond with my co-worker, Gloria, even if Gloria is a Trojan. ;)
Oh, and the chemistry jokes Jenna said. They were all quite “noble” attempts to getting Gloria to laugh, which wasn’t too difficult. ;)
I just got back from the UCLA FAST Fashion Show. I invited Preston and his girlfriend Tiffany along to come sit with me and my coworkers at the VIP section. I was glad they were able to make it to the show. Apparently, it was both their first time at a fashion show, so I’m glad I got to share in their experience.
Preston’s an awesome kid, kind of like a little brother to me. So if anyone messes with him, they mess with me. He and his group of friends started a clothing brand: You Know It Clothing. I bought this shirt from him, and people have been wanting to know where to find it. They’re limited edition. Sorry folks. What can I say, I’m special and you know it. ;)
Save The Date: UCLA FAST’s 11th Annual Spring Fashion Show
If you’re in the Los Angeles area, UCLA FAST (Fashion and Student Trends), will hold a free fashion show on May 25th, 2012. Doors will open at 7pm. A donation of an article of clothing is greatly appreciated and will benefit the organization, Food on Foot.
Freedom and Fashion will attend the fashion show again this year. We hope to see you there!
I’m going to this with Jenna. You should come too.
