My girlfriend policy?

Gee, I wonder who is asking me this since only about a handful of people know about it.

Obviously, I’d only date for marriage. Any other kind of relationship, like a fling, would be a waste of time. And when it comes to this “policy,” there’s an important process that follows:

1. I have to be physically attracted to the woman (although this is initially important, it’s her personality and love for Christ that is most fundamental).
2. She has to LOVE Christ. And I don’t mean lukewarm “I like Christ.” I mean, LOVE! She’s got to have Proverbs 31 characteristics!
3. Now if she passes #1 and #2, she’ll have to meet my brothers and receive their approval when she and I want to get a little more serious. My brothers are my accountability partners, and I trust that they’ll be honest and call out things that I can’t see because I’m “blinded by love.” If she gets approved by all three brothers (Michael, Bronson, and Paul), then we move to #4.
4. My parents have to like her a lot and approve. Family is important to me! If I marry her, I’ll be a part of her family, and she’ll be a part of mine. It’s important that my brothers and my parents like her and approve.
