The Water Is Black: My Dear Wormwood,
I received your letter this morning and I must say I am not the least bit pleased. You brag and gloat that you got the face of the world’s largest youth movement to go mad. To tear off his clothes and cry out to the Enemy in the streets for all the world to see. You list the lies you whispered…
A terrific “Screwtype” styled writing on the Jason Russell incident by a Trojan Alum/former Cru member and Invisible Children Employee.
C. S. Lewis would probably have been proud.

Eddie Byun; “Reality Check: A Spiritual Response to Trafficking in Asia”
Last weekend, we learned a few things about impacting change as a non-profit from attending The Social Enterprise Conference in Harvard.
Tanya, one of our representatives, writes:
- Think Simple. With the complexity of FnF’s mission to combat human trafficking, I found it compelling that an organization called Demand Abolition was using legislative means to propel a simple solution to the problem: take away the demand!
- Fail Fast. While reflecting upon my first year serving as Vendor Partner Manager, I was comforted by the wisdom of another entrepreneur who encouraged the attendees to fail fast in your endeavors so that you can get mistakes out of the way, learn from them, and start renewed.
- Humility is Huge. Even though FnF has had the benefit of three years of operational growth, I am proud that our team is not afraid to regroup, be vulnerable to criticism, and seek out valuable partners.
- Focus on the Impact. Measuring the impact of non-profits or social entrepreneurial endeavors was the highlight of the discussions that took place this weekend. Quantitative data is essential to attracting like-minded investors, and more often than not, the data is a litmus test to an organization’s level of benefit to society.
