The Same Story
I keep searching for ways to more poetically unwrap what Christ has done for me. To reiterate the same truth I have written and spoken of a thousand times. How can I challenge people in a fresh way? How can I perk interest? And my biggest question . If the “born-again experience” is ultimately a supernatural event How could I even possibly hope to usher something like that in? I am out of ideas, m…aybe tomorrow the horizon will look different. So here it is simple as dirt. I walked around feeling empty for most of my life , tried to fill that emptiness with athletics, and relationships and when that didn’t work I tried to party until I forgot the hole was there, and when that didn’t work I tried to numb it with booze. I started reading the bible, figured out how much of loser I was, and decided to give this Jesus guy a try. He filled that empty spot like nothing ever could, and He permanently changed my life. Thats it, real talk. I would try to say something really humble and holy sounding normally at the end of this but the truth Is I am not particularly Humble nor Holy even though my saviour Jesus is and I guarantee He loves you, and that you need Him.
